Yoona Kim is an ajaeng (Korean bowed zither) performer and composer whose practice weaves through the traditional and the experimental, the past and the present. Yoona synthesizes the temporal fluctuations and ephemeral resonances of Korean traditional music with the timbral expansiveness and radical ethos of noise music and free improvisation.

Graham Stephenson is a Chicago-based trumpet player and experimental musician known for his pioneering work in electro-acoustic free improvisation. He uniquely utilizes amplified, close-miked trumpets, highly pressurized breath, and extended techniques to turn his instrument into an unpitched sound generator, blending elements of noise, ambient drones, and avant-garde jazz.

Chris Corsano is a Chicago-based drummer who has been active at the intersections of collective improvisation, free jazz, avant-rock, and experimental music since the late 1990’s. He’s been the rim-batterer of choice for some of the greatest contemporary purveyors of “jazz” (Joe McPhee, Paul Flaherty, Mette Rasmussen, Zoh Amba) and “rock” (Sir Richard Bishop, Bill Orcutt, Jim O’Rourke), as well as artists beyond categorization (Björk for her Volta album and world tour, Michael Flower, Okkyung Lee).

Chad M. Clark is a Chicago-based guitarist active at the intersections of collective improvisation, free jazz, experimental music, and avant-garde sound. An inventive improviser with a distinctive voice, he has performed with some of the most uncompromising figures in creative music, including Weasel Walter, Mark Feldman, Damon Smith, Carol Genetti, Michael Zerang, Dave Rempis, and many others. Equally at home in intimate improvised settings and high-energy ensemble performances, Clark’s work explores texture, spontaneity, and the expressive possibilities of the electric guitar beyond conventional boundaries.
